Our commitment
We want everyone 21 and older to be able to browse our menu, find our door, and plan a visit. We design and test this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and we fix problems as we find them.
What we've built in
- Keyboard access: every link, button, menu, and form works with a keyboard. A "Skip to content" link is the first thing you reach, focus is always visible, and the Shop menu closes with Escape.
- Structure: pages use real headings, landmarks, lists, and tables, so screen readers can jump between sections. Store hours are a proper table.
- Text alternatives: photos have descriptions. Our signs, like the store status sign and the pump display, have text labels that match what they show, including whether the store is open right now.
- Motion you control: the homepage video has no sound and a Pause button, and the scrolling sign has its own pause button and stops when you hover or focus it. If your device is set to reduce motion, the video is replaced with a still photo and animations are turned off.
- Carousels: specials and product rows can be scrolled with the arrow buttons, a trackpad, or a swipe, and each product is a normal link. Nothing auto-advances.
- Color and contrast: text colors are chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast in both light and dark mode, which you can switch with the toggle in the header.
- Accessibility toolbar: the round button in the bottom right corner (also reachable from the age check) lets you change text size, spacing, fonts, contrast, and colors, turn on reading aids, or have text read aloud. Your choices are saved in your own browser. The toolbar is an extra set of preferences: it does not change how the site is built, and the features listed here work without it.
- Age check: the 21+ prompt is an accessible dialog that keeps focus inside it until you answer.
- Zoom and small screens: pages reflow to a single column on phones and at high zoom without sideways scrolling.
Known limitations
- Online ordering: the menu and checkout at middletownindoor.com/store are provided by our e-commerce partner, Carrot. We don't control that software directly. If you run into trouble ordering, the store team can help you in person.
- Product and deal images: pictures in the live specials and product rows come from our menu system and are treated as decorative. The product name, brand, type, size, price, and THC are always provided as text, and deal names are written out under each banner.
How we test
We check the site with automated accessibility scans, keyboard-only navigation, reduced-motion and dark-mode settings, browser zoom, and phone-sized screens. This statement reflects a self-evaluation completed in October 2026; the site has not yet been audited by an independent third party.
